This consultation dialogue event is being convened to deepen the understanding of national and
regional concerns, priorities and best practices in the face of climate change-related security impacts,
and to discuss potential strategies and solutions relevant to the South Asian context.
The objectives of the roundtable are to initiate discussions on:
• Perceptions of climate-fragility risks in Bangladesh and South Asia more broadly;
• National and regional interests and priorities for climate-fragility risk management approaches;
• The role of national governments, regional and international organizations in addressing these
risks.
