Faisal Bin Islam

Researcher, Urban Climate Change

How to integrate climate change mitigation and adaptation stategies into local level planning? How land use planning can effectively reduce GHG emission in cities? Or how cities can be made more resilient to climate change?
These are some of the questions Faisal is seeking since his undergrad from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. Currently working as a Researcher at the Urban Climate Change Programme at ICCCAD, he explored Sundarbans, travelled far south to meet ever struggling climate resilient people from coastal Bangladesh, and learnt their stories. His life at ICCCAD is a more or less the life of a wanderer. Even in his past times, he likes to travel to new places, explore new food and meet new people. Apart from these he is particularly interested in photography, history, movies, and anime.
