S M Saify Iqbal

Program Coordinator

S M Saify Iqbal is working at the International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD) as a Program Coordinator. Currently, he is managing projects related to capacity building under the GIZ NAP NDC Support Programme and Global Green Growth Institute’s (GGGI) Stockholm50+ programme. He is also leading the Bangladesh sub-team under the Loss and Damage Programme, a flagship programme of ICCCAD, where he will coordinate the Multi-actor Partnership (MAP) project for establishing the National Mechanism on Loss and Damage in the coming years. Before joining ICCCAD, he worked as a Deputy Manager-Monitoring & Evaluation at Disabled Rehabilitation and Research Association (DRRA) where he supported some humanitarian response projects. He also worked for the Centre for Participatory Research and Development (CPRD) where he was involved with a number of projects related to loss and damage, climate change adaptation and capacity building of CSOs. In his early career, he served BRAC University, icddrb, Christian Commission for Development in Bangladesh (CCDB) and Centre for Climate Justice Bangladesh (CCJB). He completed his BSc and MSc from University of Dhaka in Geography and Environment.
