Junior Research Officer
Samina Islam is working as a Junior Research Officer at the International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD) since 2020. Samina graduated in International Relations from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) and currently doing her masters in Climate Change and Development at the Independent University of Bangladesh (IUB). She has been involved in multiple projects at ICCCAD in the areas of climate adaptive WASH services, NAP formulation, service provision in informal settlements and environmental migrants. She is actively engaged in research work and has published a journal article on the policy integration of Nature-based Solutions. Drawing on her working and academic experience, she has further interest in exploring the human and climate security nexus with particular focus on migration and displacement.
