Shababa Haque PhotoShababa Haque is working as a research officer at the International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD) since June 2016. Shababa graduated from the University of Manchester in 2013 with an undergraduate degree in Environmental Science. She finished her masters in 2015 in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London
and specialized in Pollution Management, she is interested in the topic of waste management and would like to explore the waste management sector in Bangladesh further. Shababa wrote her thesis on the renewable energy scene in Bangladesh and is highly interested in the subject. The department awarded her thesis ‘Evaluating the Impacts of off-grid Solar and Biogas Renewable Energy Initiatives in Rural Bangladesh’ with the Bell Prize. Shababa also worked as a summer school teacher at The Beautiful Mind (A school for autistic children), and she feels strongly about raising awareness about mental health issues and developing better education facilities for children with special needs.
