Fariha Jahin Biva completed her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Disaster Management and Vulnerability Studies at Dhaka University. During her internship with the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, she gained insights into the stakeholders and operations of MoDMR and the Department of Disaster Management. Her master’s thesis focused on ‘Resilience of the Education Sector in the Face of Flash Flood.’ She served as a young professional at Plan International Bangladesh at the same time. Her primary research interest revolves around Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation.
