Research Officer

Munia Tahsin, a research officer at ICCCAD, is an alumna of Jahangirnagar University, having completed both her undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Geography and Environment. Formerly a research consultant at CEGIS, she now focuses on climate-resilient, migrant-friendly towns at ICCCAD. Munia’s remarkable academic achievements and extensive portfolio of research papers in the fields of water, agriculture, and climate were acknowledged by Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who awarded her the “Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Scholar-2022,” and she was also awarded the “Hafiza Khatun Gold Medal.” Her areas of expertise include food security, river morphology, and the larger field of climate resilience.
